We have also been invited by the General Billy Mitchell American Legion Post 85 right across the street from the Highlander. Invite below:

Albert,

The MRFA attendees are most welcome to utilize Post 85 for meeting and socializing during their stay in Arlington over the Veterans Day weekend. The post is located less than a block from the Highlander, at 919 N. Kansas St. Phone number at the post is 703-527-8178. Post opens at 4pm on weekdays. Bartender’s name is Sue. Club manager is Lou Lane (USAF vet). Our Commander, Roscoe (Rock) Eagle has asked me to extend a special invitation to participate with Post 85, Post 139, and VFW 3150 at memorial services at Clarendon war memorial (about 1/4 mile from
Highlander) at 1pm on November 11. This ceremony is normally about 30-45 minutes. Afterward, Post 85 will host the Virginia Department American Legion Commander at the post home at 2pm. The entrance to Post 85 is on the rear of the building, and there are 5-6 steps upward from street level. We have parking at one side and at the rear of the building. Our “regular” crowd are either retirees or local working residents. They are a rather quiet bunch, but very friendly. Darts are a favorite pass time, so if any of your members are dart shooters, they may be able to show us a few tricks. Between now and Veterans day I will pass along any additional information that may be helpful to you. I fully intend to be available to greet you
when you come into town.

Regards, Art
